Lions and tigers and bears, oh my.

The foto below features the aforementioned bulging columns of the geelong HALLS OF JUSTICE.
The lion has been a central part of the australian ethos since people could tell (and remember well enough to retell) stories. And even after Whitey crashed the party, lions remained prominent but more in an economic sense. It’s generally agreed on by most that australia got where it did during the 20th century by ‘riding on the lion’s back’, but is more into weaving baskets these days.
