Re: 80s tv mentioned lately, I’ve read that there’s a knight rider computer game and heard that ‘they’ (they’re out there somewhere) are making a starsky and hutch game too. I suppose that demographic is now the one with the money, so where’s _my_ money? I don’t want to play games – I just want the shows to come back on free-to-air telly.
I’m trying to make an effort not to dis people’s veiwing tastes, but pushing the CART car racing out to 1:30am in favour of ‘live’ footage of people twitching in their sleep is fucking demented, you hear me channel 10?

Here’s another neat webloggen oriented novelty, blog matcher. It gives way better results than that mark pilgrim thing [http://www.diveintomark.org/newdoor/] – which’ll just give a list of his buddies for you to go and worship – thus contributing further to the pyramidial structure of the webloggen dynamic.
I found that at cogworks – he’s an interesting nerd with a weblog, so maybe will go on that list at the side.

Also from there – while still in very scratchy early stages, blozom is something of a variant on Blosxom, with the interesting difference being that it’s all client-side. Meaning that a weblog could be run off of that little bit (usually 10Mbs) of closet space that ISPs hand out with the service. No CGI needed. I didn’t take a really good look at it, I suspect the steps involved in making it go would defeat most internetters currently– particularly given the fact that the people not yet willing to spork (hehe) out money for a domain/hosted space are the same ones with little knowledge of fiddling about with scripting mechanisms. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting development.

Does anybody know what time of year the Tour de France is usually on? I can’t figure it out at all…

Man, I got this 4000 word essay due on the 26th and each day that ticks by I’m recalculating what the average no. of words a day I need to get writ is and already it’s looking nasty.

I’ve been meaning to mention: I wonder what Tarax (soft drink company. hmmph – appears to now be taken over by cadbury-schweppes) are going to do with their sarsparilla drink, ‘Sars’? I should really check the supermarket, i don’t know if they even make it anymore.

What is CART car racing? … I did flick past BB at 12.30 last night where I saw live, action footage of people in snoozy land. What kinda crap is that?

It stands for championship auto racing teams — probably better known as ‘indycar’ here. It’s the little (mostly north american) cousin of formula one.

I know – it’s weird. A couple of years when that what”s-his-name Carey movie came out about his life being a tv show – I spun out with the thought of what if that was YOU (me) whoever that was being filmed constantly – scratching self etc. …. and now it’s actually happening.

Oh yes, I can’t go to sleep unless I know that I have some SARS close at heart.

My eyes fell out of my head when I first seen the can at the local supermarket.

😉
